Staunton Cattle Ranch State Park is Colorado’s newest State Park and opened up in 2013 offering 18 miles of treking tracks and a selection of various other recreational activities. The park sits south of Black Hill in a location of pine woodlands, aspen groves, open meadows and granite cliffs. The website was once a 1,720-acre ranch had by Drs. Archibald and Rachel Staunton who homesteaded the land beginning in the turn of the 20th century.
